Splurge vs Steal of the Day

Today's Splurge vs Steal is for all you ladies out there with color treated hair (whether it be highlights or all over color).  I decided to test out color glaze, which is a product applied in the shower 2-3 times per week that protects hair color while giving it amazing shine.  I recommend that all color-treated stands get the attention of a glaze, it will save you money in the long run because your color will look more vibrant for longer!

The SPLURGE:  Fekkai's Salon Glaze Treatment, $32 for the full size and $5 for the 1oz travel size (which I have only found at Sephora) (Sephora, Ulta, and Lord & Taylor carry the full size)


The STEAL:  Aveeno's Living Color Shine Glaze, $7 at drugstores


To use, squeeze product down the scalp on wet hair after shampoo and conditioner have been thoroughly rinsed.  Spread to ends with hands, and let sit 3-5 minutes.
Turn the water cool (the colder you can stand, the better) and rinse from hair completely.  The cold water amps the shine up even more!!

The SPLURGE, hands down!  My hair color was even shinier and the shine lasted through another shampooing.  Its an amazing product!  I liked the smell of the Aveeno product, and for the girl on a budget, I still think its worth the purchase!!
