Sugar Skeleton Inspirations

One of my FAV Halloween looks to replicate is the sugar skeleton, otherwise thought of as "Day of the Dead"

I love this because the looks can be done in bright colors, or kept simple in black & white!  Pair it with an elaborate outfit, or make the makeup speak for itself with all black - it all works!

Check out some of the images below - you can print them out and replicate them for your Halloween party coming up!


I love the iridescent shadows used around the eyes (check out Urban Decay) and you can use temporary hair color in a can/spray from sally beauty to add in color!


This is simple elegance and would look incredible with a black lacy dress!


This one is possibly the easiest to replicate - just outline it with a very light/neutral pencil first, then trace over with a gel eyeliner!  Check out NYX's gel liner for an $8 product that is sure to give you the deep pigment

The light blue around the eyes is just stunning - I love the strategically placed rhinestones - pick up self-stick ones at AC Moore or Michael's for under $8

How blessed am I to have a best friend that is an insanely talented professional photographer?  And she allows me to be one of her subjects every so often!!!!!  Even though she is super busy this time of year with weddings, parties, maternity, & Fall themed engagement photo sessions - she still took time out for us to do a "Vamp" themed shoot where I start as a regular woman enjoying the Fall, to being bitten, turned into a vamp and then into a demon!
