Top Palette Picks for Fall, under $50

Heading into Fall, its a time where all of a sudden you are excited about sweaters, tights and for some odd reason, even argyle is looking hot right now (why oh why did I need new high socks again!?)

You know what else makes me think fall?  Palettes in all sorts of plums, emeralds and charcoal greys!  Its time to start retiring turquoise, nudes, and hot pinks until next pre-summer looks roll out and a new palette can help you do just that, in one purchase!

My top 5:

5:  Pick a theme and work with it for Fall:
Try Estee Lauder's "Violet Underground" collection

Specifically the incredible wet/dry extreme color eyeshadow palette, the shades are amazing and its an instant updated look that will leave summer behind in the sand dust!

4:  For when your supplies need an instant upgrade:

Smashbox's Master Class $59 at Sephora
Smashbox - The Master Class Palette
Smashbox's pro artists arranged this 28 shadow collection, complete with blushes, highlighters, liners, and lip stains in punchy full pigment shades that will take you well into Winter

3:  For skin that lost its summer glow and now looks sallow:

Benefit's "Perk Up Artist" $30 at Ulta
Benefit Cosmetics - Perk-Up Artist
This awesome palette has everything you need to perk up skin, including a brightener that you can mix right in with the concealer for brighter under eyes instantly!

2:  If you are SO ready to ditch the neutrals and get back to the smokey eye:
Then you have to drop the $50 for Urban Decay's NEW Smoked Palette:
Urban Decay - Smoked Eyeshadow Palette
This palette gives an instant update to the smokey eye, with new and interesting shades, such as a really strong emerald green.  you can find it on or at Sephora, and it comes with a tutorial book for how to get each look
Urban Decay - Smoked Eyeshadow Palette
1. Take the guess work out of a fall look:
Too Faced "The Return of Sexy" Palette, at Ulta and Sephora
Too Faced - The Return Of Sexy Eye Shadow Palette
complete with a booklet of looks for $48, this palette has the best shades for the cooler weather, and I love the way its packaged, in a sleek case with great sizes, and the color collections placed together so there is little guess work involved in how to create a great look
