Nearly 6 months ago I told you all about magnetized nail polish, and the super-cool effects available! Well now its hit mainstream, and it's time to get on the trend!
Nails Inc metallic nail polish actually uses a magnet on the top of the bottle to move metallic ions in the polish to create waves and various textures on your nails (while the polish is drying)
To create a totally unique look, you can purchase the polishes for $16 at Sephora stores - and follow the steps below
It has been widely distributed in the shade you see above (a deep grey) but there are other shades as well, such as a deep purple, a gold and others.
(personally, I LOVE the purple!)

You're Blushing!
Ladies, I have been on the prowl for an amazing Holiday palette, but something that breaks the typical eyeshadow overload - and I've found it!
Whether you're gifting or adding to your own personal collection, this NARS "All About Blush" Holiday 2011 palette is exactly what you need!
It is an incredible large-size sampler of blush colors that will cover all your bases! As well as highlighting (upper left). At $65, it is about $10 a shade, which is a great price. What's better is that you can toss ONE compact into your makeup bag for a trip or weekend away, and regardless of your tan/eye makeup/lipstick - you will have a complementing shade handy!
It is exclusive to Sephora, and it's limited in production. Below is the link to order

Holiday 2011: Chanel Style!
With the Holidays quickly approaching, it's time to start thinking about your look, and Chanel has one out now that is so easy to achieve, yet looks so fresh and modern!
This is the Chanel Holiday 2011 look, and my favorite feature is the metallic gold eyeliner for sure!!
Some of the great products featured on this look are limited edition (which makes them that much more fun!)
I want to specifically note the highlighting powder, which is incredible!
The intricate scroll design is captivating, but the hint of light-catching pigments in this oil-free powder is what makes it incredible. Use on check bones, and brow bones to capture the light just right!
The featured nail polish, "Rouge Carat"
Is a great berry shade that is totally holiday appropriate!
There are also matching lipstick, long wearing stains and glosses in the berry color
As for the gold eyeliner, I will do a SPLURGE vs STEAL on this one:
SPLURGE:
Chanel's "OR" metallic gold eyeliner
$32 at Chanel counters (limited supply per store, you can also purchase it on Chanel.com)
or the STEAL:
Make Up For Ever's Aqua Liner in "Diamond Gold" $23 at Sephora
I HAVE to go with the STEAL on this one. Both liners are incredibly easy to apply and are very long wearing and smudge proof, but the price alone on the Make Up For Ever's liner is what can allow you bust the bank and grab another shade of the Chanel's Holiday Collection!
To create a great Holiday Look (whether using Chanel or not) focus on 2 things:
1: Using the gold liner to create drama
2: Using a berry shade for lips and [finger]tips (remembering to balance out the bold lips with a deeper blush)
Here, Chanel makeup artists explain how to get the perfect Holiday look:
Combine with gold jewelry, black pants and a silky berry-shade shirt - and you have an incredible fall look!

Foiled Lips!
I took a short break from blogging, my day job is keeping me TOO BUSY! Thanks for your patience, and now I am back with a new trend I just spotted - FOILED LIPS!
Perhaps it was inspired by the cutest of Valentine's Day candies, the little chocolate lips...
but the look is BOLD and flirty! And I'm liking it!
This look is typically seen 'in costume' when actors and models are in drastic makeup:
Essentially, what you are looking for is TONS of light-reflecting pigments that will give your lips a metallic shine (not a glossy shine)
For fall, I love the reds and oranges in this metallic look
Kat Von D of Tattoo fame just launched a "foiled lipstick" that has these metallic pigments that give your lips that unique shine
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P290801
$18 only at Sephora
I'm liking the color 'valentine'
The shimmer is very bright!
So that's what on the lipstick trend right now!
